Los Angeles Department of Water and Power - Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is the largest municipal utility in the United States, serving 3.9 million residents as of 2006. Founded in 1902 to supply water and electricity to residents and businesses in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. The LADWP receives no tax support, and contributes about $190 million annually to the revenues of the City of Los Angeles.

Staples Center - Los Angeles

Staples Center is a sports arena in Los Angeles, adjacent to the LA Live development. It is located next to the Los Angeles Convention Center complex. Staples Center was financed privately at a cost of $375 Million and is named for the Staples office-supply company, one of the center's corporate sponsors that paid for naming rights.
